The Co-op has a variety of essential workshops formulated for the development of professional skills, digital and creative innovation and ongoing membership while fostering the essence of sustainability. With a reach of a hundred Ontario artists and counting, The Co-op offers 150 workshops that allow artists to expand their knowledge surrounding the music industry and supports the shift to a digital-focused environment. During the workshop "Live Audio Engineering and Mixing" led by Michael Kerwin, questions and discussion will be held to present a deeper look at the professional music industry.


Michael Kerwin is the Technical Director at Frontier Sound & Light, a Toronto based full-service production company specializing in music related events for over twenty years. Michael has mixed FOH live sound for a huge variety of artists including SAGA, I Mother Earth, Finger 11, Chilliwack, Natalie McMaster, Sass Jordan, and Marianas Trench, as well as engineering live recordings for such artists as Gotye, I Mother Earth, and Alexisonfire. Michael has also acted as the production manager for Music Makes It (OMDC), Q107 30th Anniversary concert, Edge 102.1 CASBY awards show, and Fusion Concert Series Grand Caymans featuring Shaggy and Maxi Priest. Most recently, Michael was the technical director for Ontario’s first large scale post-COVID in person outdoor event “Summer Tale : Together Apart Cirque” featuring the award winning 7Fingers troupe from Montreal.
